Ontario

Open Source
2020

A federated SPARQL query processing engine over semantic data lakes. Enables querying heterogeneous RDF datasets at scale using semantic source descriptions and query decomposition.

Ontario introduces a novel approach to federated query processing by leveraging RDF Molecule Templates to describe data sources semantically. Supports complex SPARQL queries across distributed knowledge graphs with minimal source exposure.

MULDER

Open Source
2019

Querying the Linked Data Web by bridging RDF Molecule Templates. A federated query engine that decomposes SPARQL queries and routes sub-queries to relevant endpoints using molecule-based source descriptions.

MULDER extends federated query processing with RDF Molecule Templates — compact semantic descriptions of data sources that enable efficient query decomposition and routing across the Linked Data Web without requiring full source exposure.

BOUNCER

Open Source
2021

Privacy-aware query processing over federations of RDF datasets. Enforces access control and privacy policies during federated SPARQL query execution across distributed knowledge graphs.

BOUNCER addresses the challenge of privacy-preserving data access in federated environments. It integrates access control policies directly into the query processing pipeline, ensuring sensitive data is never exposed during query decomposition or result merging.

LifeCoachService

Research
2015

A health and lifestyle monitoring web service application. Tracks personal health metrics and provides actionable lifestyle recommendations through a service-oriented architecture.

Built as part of the Introduction to Service Design and Engineering course at the University of Trento. Implements a RESTful service architecture for health data ingestion, storage, and personalized recommendation generation.

PlacementSys-EJB3

Research
2014

A web-based student placement system designed for the Ethiopian university context. Manages placement workflows, student records, and institutional assignments through a Java EE stack.

Developed using EJB 3, Eclipse-link JPA, Java EE, and a Java Swing client. Deployed on JBoss 7.1 AS. Handles the full placement lifecycle from student registration to institutional assignment and reporting.
